Country churches



The rocky churches (XI-XIV) were the places of Christian worship, particularly in the Middle Age. Today they are the witnesses of a religious and artistic tradition, thanks to which is possible to appreciate some of the cultural boots of the South Italy. In these churches the Oriental Byzantine faith and the Occidental Christian one are mingled together in very particular devotion expressions.
